1945: Bill Durnan recorded his 4th career shutout, and Murph Chamberlain and Jimmy Peters each had a goal and an assist as the Canadiens won 2-0 over the New York Rangers.

 

 

1952: Elmer Lach scored twice, and goaltender Gerry McNeil recorded his 14th career shutout, as the Canadiens beat the Boston Bruins 2-0.

 

1964: Gilles Tremblay scored twice as the Canadiens tied 2-2 at Boston.

 

 

1968: The Canadiens trade Brian Smith to the Minnesota North Stars for cash

 

 

1995: Vincent Damphousse scored twice to give him 250 career NHL goals and added an assist in the Canadiens' 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
