1930: Gus Rivers ended what had been the longest playoff game in NHL history, when he scored at 68:52 of overtime to give the Canadiens a 2-1 win over the New York Rangers, in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals.
1954: Emile Bouchard scored twice to become the NHL's all-time playoff point scorer among defensemen, as the Canadiens won 4-3 over the Boston Bruins, in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals.
1965: Jean Beliveau scored twice and added two assists in the Canadiens' 5-3 win against the Rangers.
1976: Pete Mahovlich picked up two assists, including his 100th point of the season (for the second straight year) in the Canadiens' 2-2 tie with Boston.
